Wednesdays tend to be dull days - you're past the slog of the start of the week, but pretty far away from having 48 hours off. If you're looking for something to do on Wednesday, November 12th, then, consider attending Toad Virtual Expo 2008.
Quest Software will host the event, and Doug Williams, the company's director of product marketing for database tools, explained in a statement, "With more than one million users world wide, Toad for Oracle is considered the de-facto standard database tool for database developers and administrators, and we're excited by the opportunity to host our first virtual tradeshow."
Don't think that this is some sort of "in-crowd" event, either, as Williams continued, "Whether you're new to Toad for Oracle or a long-time user, this is the perfect event to connect with and learn from Oracle experts and the Toad community."
The Virtual Expo will begin at 6 AM Pacific Time and carry on through 4 PM. Speakers include Steven Feuerstein, who's described as an Oracle PL/SQL evangelist, and Jeff Smith and Michael Lumbard, two high-ranking Quest employees. Live question and answer sessions will take place, and a virtual lounge will be available.
This sounds like as good a way as any to spend your time one week from today. Registration's free, and the event should further be spiced up by giveaways spreading not only "I Heart Toad" bumper stickers, but also an Xbox 360.
